Sometimes nothing can illustrate the subject you are talking about in a presentation better than a video clip. Starting from the 4.2 release of iSpring even the free version of this PowerPoint to Flash software supports YouTube video insertion just as well as embedding videos from your local computer.

And you don’t have to be a computer wizard to do this. Just click YouTube icon on iSpring panel in your PowerPoint and paste a selected YouTube video URL into the appropriate field. To make sure you’re doing it correctly you can watch a tutorial available right in your iSpring YouTube Insert window:

Taking care of your slideshow’s content is dramatically important. But what if you don’t know how? Here I am at your service. In this post I’ll introduce 5 different methods of your Flash movie protection.

Before I start I want to share a 100% secure way: never show your presentation to anybody. :-) This would certainly guarantee that any unauthorized use is completely prevented.

If you are ready for more practicable, but less effective ways, just keep on reading.

A minimum Adobe Flash player version required by iSpring generated Flash files is 7. However, a particular Flash presentations may require higher versions of the Flash Player. Why does it happen?

There are several factors that affect Flash player version of the presentation:

iSpring Pro 3.1 has just been released and has already received many positive comments. One of them is made by our friends Dreamlinestudio who create flash templates. They made a quick review on iSpring products and posted it on their blog.

iSpring team is always glad to receive your comments and feedback. Feel free to share your opinion on our new iSpring web site!

“Damn it! It will just never work!!!” How many times did you repeat this phrase trying to make different hyperlinks to transfer you from one Flash presentation to another and back? Your hyperlinks seem to work in PowerPoint but not in Flash. If this situation is familiar to you, read this article and I am sure it will make your life at least a little bit easier.

Imagine now that you are at school and there is a problem you need to solve… Scared? Don’t worry, it’s not that hard.

Author’s rights law. Every country has it to protect authors and their creations from being stolen. Each of your Flash movies is unique: you put your knowledge, imagination and soul into it. I am sure you don’t want other people use it without your permission. Are there any ways to protect your Flash movie if it is published online? The answer is “yes”. With iSpring it is very easy. If you’ve ever created a presentation, I am almost sure, you add links to it at least once. And maybe you’ve even been in the situation when your Flash movie played perfectly, but the hyperlinks didn’t work. I know how frustrating it can be, but there is a solution and I am going to share it with you now.

First of all, please, put your mouse cursor over a hyperlink in a generated Flash file. Did it change to a hand? If yes, this fact shows that the hyperlink does work after conversion. The problem can occur if your browser has security restrictions which do not allow opening the pop-up windows, or the security restrictions of Flash player plug-in installed on your computer do not allow opening URLs from locally placed Flash files. This can happen only if a generated Flash file is placed locally on your computer. You can make sure in it if you publish the generated Flash file on web, the link will work fine.

So, how can you resolve the problem with locally placed SWF files? When you click on the hyperlink in Flash file located on your local machine, Flash player does not allow browser to open specified URL so that some part of data located on your computer was not passed into the web. But you can avoid the problem and set your Flash player to open the links from allowed Flash files. To do this, you need to go to Adobe site.

Now, please, follow the recommendations shown in screenshots below.

After clicking on browse button shown in the second screenshot you must specify the Flash files with hyperlink located on your computer. But any case, there is no need to worry about opening the links from the Flash files published on web – the restrictions I described relate only to the files placed on a local computer.

Enjoy your presentation and add as many links to it as you wish! :)
